The City & Waterfront Awards is an annual event which recognises and celebrates the achievements of local businesses and individuals in the City Centre & Waterfront area of Plymouth. This year Lawsons are absolutely delighted to reveal that our very own, John Lawson was recognised for his unwavering commitment over the years, receiving the honourable Lifetime Achievement Award.
Speaking of the ceremony, John Lawson commented:
“Awards like these celebrate the good independents we have on the high street and how it’s vital to keep the high street alive. Congratulations and well done to all the winners.”
Our own Liz Lawson, managing director of Lawsons expressed her delight at her father's award stating,
“He is a great visionary and very responsive to market trends. He was brave enough to make decisions that seemed strange at the time but he saw where the future would be. He has the respect of his colleagues and his peers. One of his key things is honesty – it's one of the main pillars. I am delighted for my father and think the award is well deserved, I am very proud of him.”
The last 110 years have defined us and we are so honoured to still be recognised and able to provide the same passionate service here in 2014. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their loyalty over the last century and for their continued support.
