EasiYo yoghurt was developed by a school teacher, a father, over 25 years ago. He was passionate about feeding his eight children with fresh and healthy food. Yoghurt is a much loved food all over the word but he was concerned about the preservatives in the products on the shop shelves. He took pride in producing a fresher alternative that had no additives.

EasiYo yogurt is available in a vast choice of flavours and it is not only delicious and packed full of nutrients and goodness but it’s really versatile too. Yoghurt can be used in a whole host of recipes and EasiYo is no exception. Here are some of our favourite recipes that are just delicious and perfect for the summer season.

Banana & Chocolate Smoothie

Makes 2 smoothies

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 250ml EasiYo Chocolate Swirl Yogurt
  • 2 small handful of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 250ml milk
  • 4-8 ice cubes
  • Chocolate sauce to serve (optional)

Method:

  • Place the peeled bananas, yoghurt, blueberries, chia seeds and milk in a blender and blitz until half blended.
  • Add ice and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the chocolate sauce around the inside of the glasses
  • Pour in the smoothie

Salted Caramel Frozen Yoghurt

Ingredients:

  • 1kg EasiYo Vanilla yogurt (follow mix instructions to make the yogurt)
  • 200g sugar
  • 6 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 250ml cream
  • ½-1 tsp salt

Method:

  • Line a strainer or sieve with a clean fabric cloth and place on top of a bowl.
  • Pour the yogurt into the cloth and leave to strain in the fridge overnight.
  • Add the sugar and water to a small pan and bring to a gentle simmer over a medium heat. Swirl the pan to help dissolve and caramelise the mixture before adding the butter.
  • Remove from the heat once the mixture is a dark amber colour, add salt and whisk in the cream.
  • Pour into a container and set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the strained yoghurt with ¾ of the caramel sauce.
  • Pour the yogurt into a loaf tin, cover tightly and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Before serving, allow to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften slightly.  You can serve this delicious frozen dessert in a bowl or cone and then finish with a drizzle with reserved caramel and enjoy!

Stripey EasiYo Ice Lollies

As we said, EasiYo is really versatile.  To make these wonderful frozen yoghurt ice lollies all you need is:

Method:

  • Fill the ice-block moulds 1/3 full and freeze for at least an hour or until set on top.
  • Add the second flavour, filling another 1/3 and at the same time push a lolly stick down into the frozen bottom layer.
  • Freeze for at least another hour until set on top then finish off with the final layer
  • Chill overnight before serving.
  • You could add some fruit or berries to each layer as you go.
